About Me

Thanks for visiting! My name is Lia and I like to make stuff. I also like to teach other people how to make stuff! I teach classes once in a blue moon and I really love talking crafting with other crafters.

My grandmother was a crocheter and taught me to chain when I was 7. She then handed me a book to learn the rest, so I guess I'm mostly self-taught. I picked up knitting by watching YouTube videos in late 2009. I love both crocheting and knitting equally now... crocheting for something I know I can finish quickly and expertly the first time... knitting for the challenge of learning the many many new things out there.

I'm also a big fan of social media. You can find me on twitter and ravelry all day every day. I love that our world is so connected and I can learn so much from people I'd never meet otherwise.

My political views are very left-leaning. I am a practicing cradle Catholic. Yes, I am passionate about both. No, that isn't always an easy line to walk sometimes.

I'd love to hear from you so if you have any questions, comments or suggestions please post a comment, tweet me, message me on ravelry or shoot me an email at liacreates[at]gmail[dot]com!
